The Age Old Head Gasket Problem?

bought a 1992 gt4 last year (1800) had a new clutch (670) all new brakes (300) service (100) altogher 2870 hard earned pounds oh and just bought a 400 turbo set up from xs-power (but thats another story). car has started to lose water out of the plastic coolant filler bottle when on a heavyish boost drive (after i've stopped) , no water in the oil and i dont think any oil in the water with just a little white smoke at start up but no more than that, have just checked the fan conection and it seamed not to be pushed down enough, so i'v e clicked it into place and will take it out for a decent run to see if this makes a difference, will the fan not working be enough to cause the over flow?? also noticed some oil behind the back of turbo could this be a problem too, i'm too much into this car to be walking away so if it needs a gasket change then so be it.. nooooooooooo :crybaby: another 800 me thinks, will let you know what happens

Maybe you need a new rad cap? (It's worth eliminating the basics first)

yeah tried to get one on saturday but the spotty 13 year old behind the parts desk in Halfords said they didnt stock any for my gt4 !! (coputer said nooooooo). took her out for good thraping last night and it seams to be ok! hopefully was just the fan but will keep an eye on it,
