Well I've heard they're a total waste of time and money. Usually, if something sounds too good to be true, it is.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee begins when you receive your Turbonator so you have a full 30 days to try it out. Guarantee / warranty only valid with original purchase receipt. Guarantee / warranty applies to USA only. Shipping is not refundable. All Turbonators returned under the thirty day money back guarantee are subject to a fifteen percent restocking fee.

Dodgy returns policy too!

If you are talking about the Google ads at the top of the page, all that is, is a lexical check on the words in the thread and then links to relevant stuff.

If you type a thread with loads of other themed words, the ads will like to those types of sites.

It could possibly help with fuel mixing in some configurations of intake systems due to the increased mixing effect. HOWEVER anything introducing turbulence into the intake systems is a bad idea since it reduces volumetric efficiency and therefore power.

In summary a load of rollocks

  • 2 weeks later...

was searching on the internet and came across this 'vortex' unit that is used as a part of the exhaust system, apparently it lets the car to get rid of the exhaust fumes better meaning the compression at the manifolds is reduced, and an improvement in the performance... or something like that!

found this thing at exhaustuk.com, a company based in sheffield, but their site now is under construction so its not working properly. anyone have or used this vortex unti before?

that is a load of rubbish. bit of an equation here but i'll give it a go

total pressure = static pressure + dynamic pressure.

total pressure is fixed so if you increase dynamic pressure by making the gas move quicker, you reduce static pressure which is what gives you the power.

the difference in a turbocharger or supercharger is you are actually increasing the total pressure.
