Hello all hope you are all well

New premises in Armthorpe (Doncaster) called "ALLCAR"

Specialist in japanese cars servicing and mechanical repair etc using genuine japanese parts or OE. His name is Richard ex-Toyota mechanic (and a top bloke)

I was put on to him by a good friend of mine who's always had his family's Toyota's serviced/repaired by him. Just had a new cambelt fitted (OE) to my Avensis only done 28000 miles but its 6 year old so thought i better get it done and i also bought some Black Diamond brake discs and pads (expensive combo discs vented drilled and grooved) but a great upgrade! all fitted and tested by Richard and im very very very happy with it and i never had to pay anywhere near Mr T's prices!

So to sum up if you live local or want some very very very good quality work doing by a genuine specialist (ex-Toyota) usuing genuine japanese parts or (OE) give him a call and get a quote call Richard on (01302 830400) thanks for reading and spread the word.

Bye for now from a very satisfied present and future customer

What's he like for prices?

I need a new timing belt at the mo. How much did it cost for your if you don't mind me asking? And what are his prices for services?

I may give him a shot for future work if he's cheap enough.

His prices are cheap, my cam/timing belt using the genuine Toyota part was only £110 fitted and i know from ringing Toyota myself the belt alone cost £35 and when you bare in mind what a big job it is to do (time consuming removing everything from left hand side/corner of engine bay, remove engine mounts and jack the engine up just to get access to start and do the job etc etc) i dont know how he can charge so little

Just give him a ring or pop down and see him for quotes on jobs, i gave him try and he exceeded my expectations and im as fusy with my car/bike as anyone ive ever met

I might give him a try for a service in future, I guess it depends how well my car does on its MOT next week.

Fingers crossed that it passes, I'm still not comfortable with this "no problems" malarkey even after 3 MOT's it still doesn't feel right. With my Punto I would expect every MOT to cost at least £150 as something always needed replacing.

I called him today to get a quote. Not much more than I pay at the moment so I may well go to him for my work in future. He certainly sounded like he knew his stuff, I guess I'll find out in a few weeks when I go to him.

Getting there is a bit tricky (or at least hanging around Donnie for hours on end, but it's no worse than Benfield Toyota in Wakey).

Should I feel guilty about ditching the guy I currently use? He's a decent bloke and a friend of my partners family so I know I can really trust him not to rip me off, it's just a shame he's not an ex Toyota mechanic.
