Engine/box Oil

Hi guys im new...look forward to getting to know you all. I saw a post about a crunchy gearbox and oil was mentioned as a possible fix. I use Royal Purple, and have been for some time. I got put onto it by a mate that works for a formula 3 racing team. He reckoned it was the muts nuts, and I must admit it has certainly improved my gear shifting. I have since put it in my engine as well, and it has cut down the piston slap. Im usinmg 10w40 in my engine and 75w90 in the gearbox. Oils dont fix damaged gearboxes, but they can certaily help. I have done alot of research into this oil since, and if you log onto www.gtr.co.uk (skyline owners club) their is a post in the maintenance section entitled "astonishing". It describes a very simaler situation. The guy that posted it in their is a moderator, and highly respected.

So, like I said, oil dont fix bust boxes.but it helps.

Thanks
