Intercoolers For A Colorado 1kz-te ?

Does any one have any experience of adding Inetcoolers to Landcruiser Colorado 3L TD VX's?

Looking to keep my 1997 120K mile machine for a while, and want to improve performance / economy. Am looking at the biodiesel route, and initial results are good.

The exhaust has just blown, so am looking to replace with a 3" stainless item, and am going to chip the ECU. Intercoolers seem to be the last item to make significant improvements, and so am looking for anyone who has had a go.

Allard and others do kits, but I gather that the Surf 1KZ-TE had an intercooler fitted from the factory? Is this true? Can anyone tell me more? If I can find one, can I just fit it to my Colorado?

Some of the inport colarado(prado) are fitted with intercoolers-factory fitted.If you can get hold of the bits ,it should be stright foward.
