Air Filter Installation

Hi,

I just got a K&N RX-3770 and was thinking how to install it.

I wanted to remove the standard Air Filter section completely and install the K&N filter directly to where the standard one was.

Was wondering how that can be done and what should be done to air sensors etc

Thanks

you need to remove the standard airbox completely, and then the K&N goes on the throttle body.

Only problem is you didn't buy a car specific kit, so you will definatly need something to re house the sensors in.

Don't chanage the filter untill you sort something out for the sensor.

I was going to connect the filter with a stainless steel pipe. Maybe i can cut a whole and put the sensors in there?

Do able but look at the sensor first as its not that simple a mounting. I'm sure there are pipes you can buy with the mounting holes ready but you would have to look for them as dunno where you'd get them. I saw a few for sale at JAE but dunno what stands they were on!
