Off top of head...

Pre 1994

Jap Turbo 221BHP (225PS)

UK - unsure, someone will fill in this gap :)

1994+

UK 173BHP

Jap Turbo 241BHP (245PS)

so the Jap imports are far more brutal than the European cars then.

i've been looking for 1994+ MkII's on a site called www.mobile.de but there almost all the cars i've looked on in Germany say 156 PS wether after or before 1994

Pre 94 was 158 and post 94 174. Apparently thou the earlier cars are quicker to 60 as they have more torque than the later ones.

This explains a few things.

J-Spec MR2's are quicker than UK spec but carry more toys.

ok thanks for all the replies.

UK spec apply to ALL European cars? if they're not imported from japan of course.

now i'm just wondering one more thing:

" Toyota MR 2 2,0 GTI 16 V " is this a Turbo? are the GTI's turbo's?

" Toyota MR 2 2.0 16V " and this is the NA?

Have been speaking with Razor, this would need to be a left hooker as Razor lives in Sweden....

Did they make any LHD Turbo's ???

They made MR2s Turbos for the US market...

So I guess for a left hooker you want to investigate importing one from the states...

God knows how you go about that though.

Do remember though that US spec ones are less powerfull than the jap big brothers!

Yes they did for the USA market. You will have to import one from over there. Restriced to 200bhp though :(

how much would it cost to get a mr2 shipped over here from the states?

this sucks majorly :( maybe i'll have to settle for a NA :crybaby:

still it is 2 years til i get my liscense so HOPEFULLY someone will have imported a low mileage Turbo with targa roof near mint condition, ACC, CD player, compatible with swedish radio Hz, leather seats......*end of sarcasm*

i will just have to read up as much as i can about the mr2's til the day comes i'm getting my own :bookworm:

oh, and isn't there anyway to get those restrictions off?

/Raz

p.s i am not getting a SAAB :P d.s
