2001 Yaris T-sport Keys

Hello All

I have broken the key to my missus pride and joy.

So, after finding out that £120 from Mr T for a blank key thought I would save some cash.

The Yaris Key has a CE no of 0122, all the keys on eBay have a CE of 0123 (corolla). (These are different widths)

Has anyone successfully bought a blank key off eBay , had it cut and then works?

I have the remote buttons (they still work) so i do not to reprogram.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to obtain a blank key that I can put my buttons in?

Any help would be gratefully received

A yaris cut key should be in the region of £60+VAT. I'd try another dealership or two.

i had a transponder key cut very recently, its £120

I bought one of These a while back when i managed to snap mine, as long as the inards of your broken key are fine just move them accross to your new key.

Cost me £4 on top to get the key cut from my spare so a tenner in total -Bargain

EDIT - Just checked the key I'v got and its CE0123 and is working fine for me... what makes you think they are different widths??

Right, just to clear this up.

Blank Keys sold on eBay do not work in a Yaris (CE0123)

1) Do not buy a key pre cut - It will not fit your lock

2) Do not buy a blank key CE0123 from eBay - It is a different key (may fit corolla) Does not fit a Yaris

3) Dont spend £120 at toyota - Its expensive

4) Find an independant Toyota mechanic, they should be able to get you one with discount. £90 ish....

- Only taken 3 attempts and a lot of ***** taking from my local key cutting place...

Hope this clears everything up...
