Driver's Door, Where's The 'clunk'?

Hi all,

Have had my 03 T3X just over a week now. Lovely car really impressed. One small niggle though, I've noticed the driver's door doesn't shut with the same satisfying clunk like the 3 other doors, unless you close it really gently. Might be down to overuse, or too much slamming, but it doesn't sound right. There's no loose trim that I can see and window works fine. Has anyone else noticed the same on their cars? Feel bit of a berk for taking it to the garage for that reason alone, but a bit concerned something might not be as tightly fixed inside as it should be.

It's perfectly feasible for parts in the latching mechanism to move slightly over time. With it being the drivers door then it'll have had much more use than any of the others. It may be adjustable, or just a 'looser' mechanism due to use.

If you're concerned then get it checked. I don't reckon it's anything too serious though

Oh, Welcome to TOC by the way !

Check the torx bolts on the striker (bit on the car the door locks into) They can come loose, the actual striker might need adjusted slightly, easy fix with a hammer (no joke)
