Hoping someone can help. I have just purchased a Denso alternator, model number 101211-8700, I believe used mainly on 4Y engines in HiLux, HiAce and forklifts. I plan to use it on another car so working out the connections is important to me. Unfortunately the alternator has no markings on the back of it for the 3 pin connector. Can someone please tell me which pin is which?

Thanks.

The terminals are either s-ig-l or p-ig-l

I gather the p is for tach output (phase), also read that the s-ig-l test will fry the p output if it's a piglet style regulator

ig is for field power, and l is for the charge lamp
