What are some direct bolt in engine swaps for an 88 toyota corolla or swaps that will work, but will need modifications...either or..thanks.

u have so many options - it all depends on your budget or how far you want to go. i think the 20v 4AGE is meant to be fairly simple.

you're best trying to speak to dawsey - his car speaks for itself!

You have a few options:

20 valve 4AGE engine swap as mentioned

4AGZE engine swap (supercharged)

3SGTE (dont know if this bolts directly in)

or you could even think about adding a turbo to your current engine block- look at www.turbocorolla.com for help on that idea.
