Only a 1200cc?? Thats a pretty big engine for a bike...

Your car tax is a really good price and the bike tax for that engine size is not bad. I dont see what the problem is?

Mad isn't it!

Mine falls into the same bracket on my bike, cause it's a 750cc!

Takes up less space and is still kinder to the environment than a diesel car, and yet you pay more!!!

That's Diesel vs Petrol for you. My new 1.9 Diesel Golf cost the same to tax as my 1.0 Yaris (£110 for the year) despite having well over twice the power

The bike has only 2 wheels.

Its a Kawasaki ZRX1200 120bhp.

How can they charge more for a two wheeled bike than a four wheeled car?? :crybaby:

Beats me.

Still £50 a year I'll have that.

By the way. Last 2 fill ups 64mpg. That wasnt hanging around either. (D4D)not the bike.

Hmmmm not bad but I have had 6 years road tax (across 3 different cars) for £0.00

Car tax is based on CO2 emissions. Hence the £50 I pay - but I only average 58mpg - lots of short journeys.

My 1967 Lotus ELan was nil tax: nice...
