New Estima 2.4l Or 3.0l

considering buying new shape estima aeras. but not sure what engine capacity to get. i have a 1996 aeras 2.2TD but i feel that the car could have done with a slightly bigger engine for better fuel consumption.

i understand that the VVTI is ment to be more economical.

could anyone give me consumption figures for 2.4 and 3.0 from experience

Ours averages 24/25 around town and about 28 on a run, although we usually average 80/85mph with the a/c on most of the time on a run so I guess that could be improved on. Oh and its an '02 2.4VVTi btw! Not sure what a 3 litre would be like (wouldn't mind one though) and there's not many in the country yet to get figures from, but it would be worth having if only for that luvverly V6 burble!!!
