I buy my bits for my hilux from roughtrax.co.uk they have everything for hilux surfs. when rear shockers are going you can tell by bouncing the rear end if it bounces and stops within a few bounces then they arent to bad. if it keep bouncing longer then they are weak or show signs of leaking. if you arent sure remove them and see how they feel when u try to extend them and push them back in.

If you have oil leaking / damp patches on the shocks or as Aidyleeds said,

When i replaced mine i used the Pro Comp ES3000 as they are modern gas shocks

Just make sure you know if you have any suspension lift and if so how much because ou will need longer shocks or things could become quite dangerous.
