V Day

So.... what are everyones plans for the commercialised rip-off that honours St Valentine himself?

Anyone going anywhere nice, bought anything nice for their other halves, expecting anything nice from the other halves in return?

Me.... well I can safely say I'm not expecting any cards or gifts this year :lol: But hey, we'll see what the postman brings tomorrow, although I'm guessing the only thing I'll get in the post will be of the bill variety.

I must admit, and maybe its just me being a bitter and twisted singleton, when you've got someone, Valentines Day is a lovely day, but when you havent, it's actually a lousy day! :lol:

I do think its too commercialised though.... and too expensive, sometimes I think I'm better off saving my money anyway!

Sadly I'm so hypocritical, because if I had a fella, I know I wouldn't think that! :lol::lol:

Whatever you're doing - enjoy! Me, I'm having a belated anti-Valentines Day party with a single girlfriend on Friday night - DVD's, Chinese Food & a few bottles of wine.... Valentines Day - PAH! :lol: ;)

Nothing........... just a peom.

Money's tight,

times are hard,

here's your :censor:

Valentine's card.

Just a waste of money.. I know my wife loves me, she doesn't need to buy me a card, flowers, choccies or a cuddly toy!

:yawn::rolleyes::lol:

Have to agree with you there peridot.

Its a waste of time, but i'm just being negative as i'm single (the first time in ages) and on valentines day. I don't know whether to :lol: or :crybaby: lol

I'll laugh i think, i've got two cards (albeit one off my ex (just friends) and some psycho i met, that i can't shake off), though the main reason that i'm laughing i don't have to take anyone out!!! Cheap nite in for me then!!!

Im thinking of pulling out the black bible and offering down some prayers to the dark father for unholy vengeance on my most recent ex. I was thinking if i can grab next doors yorkies I can have live sacrifices instead of cardboard cutouts.... and blood.... real blood :yahoo:

Maybe I can get a wrath of satan type cataclysm going on in her hamster wheel of life......

jk im gonna shoot her instead :lol:

jk all of it lol shes safe .... well shes safe from me but still a serious danger to herself :D

Well I'm not with my Man tomorrow - so I gave Yves his presents the weekend just gone - I've been assured that I'll be getting something, but I have no idea when!

I don't go OTT about it tho, I like to put thought into a present & give a card & expect the same back but as for some who go completely barmy about it that's not my style!

Think tomorrow night I'll get in from work, be exhausted, find some chocolate & a Romantic Comedy and "hibernate" :lol:

Well as its my first v day with the new gf i thought id suprise her. So i have booked the day off work and not told her. Left hers this morning at 7 telling her i had to go to work. Then told her to wait in for a delivery

the delivery is going to be me, with a big bunch of flowers, her fave perfume that she keeps talking about to show i listen, and just the suprise that im there even though I told her that there was no possible way i could get it off

Nicks just suprised the hell outta me :D

He got all 300+ photos of our wedding and wedding prep (ie all my ideas I'd taken photos of) and had them printed off and hes even put them all nicely into a gorgeous photo album. Had me in tears he's been so thoughtful, and managed to keep it a secret for over a week......

Now I feel bad I haven't got anything for him, except for cooking him breakfast in bed lol

I got a phone call from avery happy girlfriend this morning because the flowers had just arrived at her office. Glad she liked them because I literally spent hours on the net trying to find a company that did decent flowers that didn't cost > £100
