Is that some kind of Hob covering the caliper and disk? It if you have a nice caliper and disk then you can't show it off? Also if the break dust doesn't dirty it up then the wheather will.

Aside from the fact that it is hideously ugly, and more importantly will destroy cooling of your brakes causing damage, its not a bad idea.

If you want to have wheels that are easy to clean, apply a wheel sealer like Poorboys Wheel Sealant or Chemical Guys Wheel Guard regularly, it goes on and buffs off like polish but leaves a slick protective layer on the wheel which brake dust sits on top of and when u wash the wheels it cleans off easily.

Tried all of the products. It was costin me a small fortune in wheel cleaners and wheels sealers to keep the brake dust from building up and sticking to the alloys. I pretty much thought whats the point in having expensive white alloys if they're looking carp all the time. Clean on sunday, ugly by tuesday. So this is the answer i came up with. I'm pleased with the look as brake callipers do nothing for me and i'd rather have the clean alloys. They are vented so the brakes keep cool enough, i haven't had any problems in the 4 months i've had them on. It's just a matter of hosing off the road grime each week now. A job that takes far less time than previosly. It's only a matter of opinion but i think they are good.

i have greenstuff brakepads and although they slightly reduced the brake dust and i mean slightly the dust from these sticks s**t to a blanket. Great pads but expensive. IMHO there is no better way of keeping the alloys shining than these Kleen Wheels.
