How Do You.....

My right hand Tbar was a little scaby round the rims etc so I got another one.

now to my annoyance ( considering what I paid for it ) ... when it came through the post it had something which sorta looks like paint on the glass a bit... The roof itself is in better condition with the exception of a minor scratch or two on the glass.

But how do I get paint off it ?? I havn't tried anything yet... just asking in advance..

cheers !

maybe a strong solution of white spirits on a soft (lint free) rag, and a heavy hand?!

Thumb-nail / finger-nail is gentlest

Then some non-abrasive polish like Autoglym Super Resin Polish

Or some highly solvent polish like Autoglym ________ forgot the name - the one with the child-proof cap and that absolutely reeks of petrol. Recommend you wear gloves using that one

Then something abrasive like T-Cut / Autosol

T-cut? hmm I would use T-cut on plastic.. but due to glass being pourous i would not wanna take my chances!

Razor blade is the best option as it is quick and easy to remove of glass and you can get into corners.

I have..

A ) A razor blade

B ) White Spirits

C ) Tcut

So I'll try white spirits... then Tcut and then the razor blade. Cos knowing my luck I'll end up chopping my finger off or something.

Cellulose thinners will work, if the paint if cellulose based, which a lot of car paints are.
