Closest to me is the correct way according to etiquette. That's the way I have it anyway ! If I'm on a loo and the paper is the other way - hanging down by the wall - I'll turn it round in a vain bid to educate the masses !

Definitely closest to me - although one person in my house insists on putting it close to the wall, so it's an ongoing underground war between us. And as we have 3 bathrooms it's almost like playing "Capture the flag" :D

Closest to the wall for me, I think it comes from years of loading dispensers when i worked in shops!!

I remember being in a restaurant once and the place had its logo tattooed on the bog roll, thought it was quite a nifty idea... seems a bit odd though considering what you are about to do with said roll?? Haha

closest to the wall! through out my whole life it has been facing the person, but only recently have i discovered that if the toilet roll is hanging or is touchin the floor (which annoys something seriously) you can just roll the thing with one flick and it'll be all wound!

this cant be done if its facing the person, well it can but it takes a lot more effort!
