:wacko: I am wondering if anyone has done this: I want to put the 3L td 1KZ-TE engine from my accident damaged 1995 4 runner (not surf but same engine I believe) into a 1993 toyota hiace super custom 4x4 3L 1KZ-TE. Is there any reason why this cannot be done and are there any things that need to be changed. I should be very grateful for any advice.

Not 100% sure on this, but I think that the Runner is a 1KZT which uses a mechanical pump, and the Hiace is an electrical pump, so you may need to change them over, also the electrical uses a crank position sensor, so you need to make sure you have that in the new block.

Did you ever do the 1KZ engine swap on you 1993 super custom? I have a 1992 and am interested in doing the same.
