ordered mine today, no fancy discounts, so £132.40, still, its a lot cheaper than the £350 Toyota wanted *winks

Seriously, did they want £350?

Ordered mine today for the same amount. There is a 3 week backlog ... I blame loads of Aygo drivers buying them myself. I bet our name is mud on the Peugeot forums where we are gazumping them :D

Andy

Fitted my rev counter yesterday. Well pleased. Very useful and great looking mod for under £120.

Thanks to Unklian for the great guide.

(You didn't mention what a bugger it was to get the cowl back on! )

I guess there isnt a blue bezel to buy, has anyone maybe removed/sprayed the grey one?

Can't remember where I saw this, but removal of the ring is VERY simple...

I believe the ring for the tacho can be removed by twisting it counter clockwise and then taking it off.

Then key the surface, plastic primer and a couple of thin coats of color and you'd be sorted...

I don't see why it should be any different.... get down to your local Peugeot dealer and ask him :)

Revcounter for the Diesel IS different: there's a different redline...

I've never seen one in person, but DID see differnet pics of them online.

Left redlines at 5000rpm and the right one goes into red at 6500rpm...

Maybe 5000rpm is for the Diesel?

Good pictures, Jan. And Steve, I popped down yesterday but Peugeot said that it could be any one of three types, all of which would suit a diesel:

6106 SP £105.55

6106 SJ £104.00

6103 CJ £105.00

A Google search brings up nothing. The Peugeot dealer can't get one on approval, I'd "have to buy one and see"...very helpful...

These wouldn't be just different colours do you think?

Hey there all, im new to the toyota aygo world.....

Had my aygo about 2 months now, 3 door in carbon quartz,

i have found this site extremely useful on how to fir a rev counter (from mr P)

It was so easy (and i have never dabbled inside car bit in all my life.... - If can undo the celotape on the box the counter comes in - you can fit and install one too!)

I have also done other bits like.... how to make the internal light brighter, and even how to remove and replace the cd player!

All baby steps for some... but huge leaps for me who has never tinkered with a car.

I need a question answering.....

Someone drove into me and has scuffed my car,

Only superficial....If i want to spray over some of the front bumber where a scuff / scratch is what process should i take?

on eBay you can get body matching paints, and also the lacqer stuff to finish it, but is this all i need? as i think this would be better than the toyota touch up kits that come like a tippex. lol

Bit of a car virgin you see...... I have driven loads but this was my first....

If anyone can help that would be great!

Cheers

John

First, go to a Peugeot Dealer and order these parts.

Rev counter 6105VN

Rev counter screw 6105VK

Rev counter cowling 4131Z5

About £134.00

Your new pod has slot in it like this:-

P1010124.jpg

Turn the steering wheel to the left revealing this screw.

P1010128-1.jpg

remove it. Turm the wheel to the right and remove the other.

Carefully lift up the old speedo housing cover revealing:-

P1010129.jpg

You will see a small white plug taped to the rest of the wires.

Untape it and push it into this socket on the bottom of the Rev-counter:-

P1010125.jpg

Then, slide the Rev-counter into place like this:-

P1010132.jpg

Fit the bolt and tighten it.

Slide the new speedo cover into place and secure with the two screws.

Job done.

Thanks- Very Helpful-
