Really want a rev counter, but i dont really trust myself fitting it, despite how easy it looks lol...

Would toyota fit a rev counter for me, if so, how much would I be looking at?

Is there no difference in the cowling material and pattern if I choose to get a rev counter from Peugeot/ Citroen and fit it to my Aygo?

I got mine online from a Peugeot dealer. None of the parts have Peugeot logos on them.

Takes 10-15 minutes to fit and really easy.

I really want to get a rev counter but the toyota dealer in Malta would charge me around 400euro for the whole lot. I'll try visiting the citroen and peugeot dealers, see how much it would cost me from them.

At the moment i'm calculating my shifts on the speedometer: 1st-up to 50km/h, 2nd-up to 90km/h, 3rd-up to around 145km/h and 4th-up to around 170km/h

Hi, does anyone know if you can get a rev counter that will match the aygo blue ie havea blue surround intead of grey? i'd love to install a rev counter but i am worried it would look a bit odd when the rest of the inside bits are all trimmed in blue.

thanks

Infact if you wanted you could have one on either side, and wire them up to work together :D

I thought about buying a left hand drive casing and putting a shift light or temp gauge in it, but i fitted a flexible shiftlight to the edge of the speedo housing instead.

Hmmm... now you've got me wondering - if there's any chance of getting a Scanguage to fit into a LHD pod...

Yep i can agree with my maltese compatriot that in Malta a rev counter costs 454euros!!!

Kingo :

How much will it cost me a full kit : revcounter, cowling etc to Malta? Will guarantee be affected once i fit them?

I can confirm that hooking uptwo at once WILL work:

Please wait a few seconds for Video to load!

And as I doe HAVE a ScanGauge II I can tell you it will NOT fit the revcounter-

pod: the SG is too long (or the pod too small), I couldn't get my TomTom One v2

to fit in the pod either, even when I removed the casing of the TomTom...

So I made a cradle from which the TomTom can be removed:

Wouldn't you want a LHD revcounter instead of the RHD Kingo has access to?

If you want I can try and get you in contact with a Dutch parts-guy

from Toyota, might be cheaper in Packing and Postage too...

LHD = Left Hand Drive

RHD = Right Hand Drive

Sorry about the confusion, I thought RHD and LHD would be known.

Anyway, as menioned above they stand for Left Hand Drive and

Right Hand Drive and refer to the side of the car the driver sits in.

In the UK they drive on the lefthand side of the road, so the driver

sits in the left, the revcounter is supposed to be at the A-pillar,

so on RHD-cars the revcounter in on the right too.

AFAIK you drive on the right side of the road in Malta, so you'd

be in the lefthand side of your car, needing a "left" revcounter.

In my search for a "wrong" revcounter to base my TomTom mount on

I found that it can be quite difficult for partsmanagers to get the correct

parts for the "opposite side of the road". Not sure if this is true for Kingo

too, but in The Netherlands it;s allmost impossible to get UK-spec stuff...

And with Malta being part of the Euro-zone you wouldn't

have to worry about exchange rates and stuff either...

Check your personal messages for the details on the Dutch supplier I sent you.

As I said in my PM, I didn't know Malta has RHD cars too

But since that is the cas you're better off with Kingo.
