When people ask me what I drive and I tell them it's an MR2, 90% of the people tell me that there is a Ferrari Kit for it.....

I was once asked if that meant I'd be retraining as a Hairdresser reg my mk2 rev3 Turbo.... but they were jesting.

Usually its quite flattering, but.....

The number one thing people say, given that people usually only find out what I drive when Im taking them somewhere is

"is it quick"

and this was/and will be again usually followed by "well" and then the hammer goes down only one person hasnt reacted by either screaming, loudly complaining yes it is quick, or by asking to be let out of the car, or smiling and laughing.

yeah often seen as a hairdresser car to the ill informed...... i just say rx7 nowadays and get either a blank expression or "is that like the previous rx8" ..... doh!

in reality its not even remotely close to being an mr2.... but everyone seems to have accepted it as a mk3. to me personally, its more mx5 than mr2. thats just my feelings on it anyway :D
