Hi guys,

thinking of buying a new shape civic 2.2 sport, ive seen one which i really like . The milage on it is 17,800 and its a 2005 55 reg. Is that high milage for its age?

Cheers

Average I'd say. Anyway, it's still low mileage. Just check the history and make sure it's been looked after.

It's possibly still got some warranty left on it also?

Sport eh.... nice spec!

Average mileage is 10-12k pa so for a 55 reg (so about a year and a half) its actually only just above the average so not so bad...

Plus its a diesel as well...

What colour is it? I'm quite partial to the Vivid Blue myself.... ;)

Very nice! not tempted with the new Type R?

I know the average annual mileage is 10-12K, but with a car so new it's probably done commuter/motorway miles rather than 'thrash' miles!

Nice colour mate... you'll have to post some pics if you choose to buy

Yes I know we're not HOC but they're stunning cars and well worth a look! :D

sounds about right, my 7th Gen Civic is also a 55 plate and its done 13,500 miles

Not too keen on the 8th Gen shape.

Personally I'd rather walk than even sit in 1 of those, they're absolutely hideous imo :yucky::sick:

But hey, don't let that put you off, it's going to be your money & your car. As for your question though, the average mileage is around 12k a year iirc so I wouldn't class the 1 you're looking at as high at all
