Brakes And Vibration

Just wondered if any body has come across this problem in there Avensis, When braking a bit heavy I get vibration through the stearing wheel?

you either need new tires. or your brake discs are warped oh so slightly.

Common problem with the lovely Avensis i'm afraid! Especially when using toyota recommended brake disks/pads. It's not quite a simple as they're warped, cause they probably aren't. I bet they don't vibrate when the car is first used and at low speed.

I've heard quite a few people mention the same problem, they were all reps I knew - in fact four of them in total, not to mention the people on this forum!

It seems the brake disks buckle when they get hot and straighten again when cool. I've recently changed only my pads bear in mind and the problem has gone!
