Well my engine went and killed itself. lol.

An oil cooler line split and the engine didn't like it!

Contemplated selling it making a big loss.

But c'mon.............

How could I sell the beastie?!?.... I've got a new engine coming mid next week. Now all I have to do is take the old one out, strip the block. Build the new one up and put it back in.

Easy huh?? ... lmao.

Nightmare Jim !

Tough choice really, but I'd keep the 7, it looks fantastic.

Good luck with the engine build !

It's not too bad. I've been offered near 4K for the car as is. I can't bear to let it go though.

I would sell it at that offer. Surely it cant be worth that with no engine?

Someone who races them offered me that money. It's a good looking car!! :)

Also, it's got a few expensive bits and bobs on it!

Why sell it and lose money, when spend a little and get it going again.

How much will it cost to put right tho?

The price of the engine... and a few gaskets.

Engine's costing me £600... gaskets won't be that much. Engine has only 30K miles on it and is in good condition.

Alot cheaper than a rebuild (although that will probably happen a few years down the line if I still have it). Someone is coming to help me strip it out etc in return for my old block. :D

Should hopefully have it on the road in aboot 3 weeks?

In the house or my shed. I have a big spare room.

Shouldn't be too bad with myself and a clever mechanic bloke! :D

Do you know how heavy engines are? It took 2 people 2 lift my mates 1000cc mini engine when he did a rebuild.

But Rotory engines are smaller then the gearbox that they are attatched to ;) (Unless mazda use really small gearboxes lol)

They weigh bugger all mate!

Anyway... we'll have an engine hoist to get it out/in the car. 2 people will easily be able to lift it into house etc.

unlucky mate :(

but glad you appear to be able to sort it :) Gorgeous car.... surprised about the reliability issues they seem to have. Glad your not getting shafted on repair costs :)
