Servicing Costs And Recommendations

Hi

My '03 T3X is needing a major service and Mr T has quoted £268, which includes plugs, filter and VAT. They want an additional £47 to change the brake fluid. Question is, is this a reasonably standard price to pay? Second question is, has anybody got any experiences of using Prestige Car Servicing (web link at top of forum page)? They will charge £216.20 versus £268.

Thanks

That sounds a bit steep.

I have just had a 30k service and Inchscape Aylesbury which cost me £215 which included the fitting of new rear brake pads.

Thanks people.

So there's a big difference from around the country. I guess due to supply, demand and local costs. Where I am if you want to go to a Toyota garage, they're owned by the same parent company, so no point in shopping around them. Not sure I'd trust an independant and how would it affect any "goodwill payments" from Toyota in the future.

Thanks

Got some costs Inchscape Basingstoke

Brake fluid change £56

Coolant Change £80

Front brakes pad change £156

Front pads and discs £317

Rear brake pads £118

Rear pads and discs £273

60k service £271

70k service £177 (oil change presumably)

80k service £288

Inchscape Aylesbury £215 is cheap,

above oil service £177+ rear brakes £118 = £295

got a quote from Lookers Toyota Chelmsford for £320, a whole 60 quid cheaper than its sister dealership in rayleigh. Probably only cost me a couple of quid extra in petrol to get there..although there is a big shopping centre there, so the wife will probably cost me a few hundred extra! :crybaby:
