Hi

I'm new to the Hiace scene and have a '92 2.8diesel camper and seek some advice with a transmission problem. Over the past 4 weeks it was taking more and more revs to get the car to change up a gear. Now it is almost always stuck in first. Reverse/Park all still ok. On inspection the cable running from the throttle arm to the transmission, is very slack and appears to be barely under tension at full throttle. Is it possible that this cable has siezed in the casing, or a problem at the transmission end? How do I remove the cable at the transmission end to inspect/replace?

Regards

Scott

The cable is just the kickdown cable and only works when you have you foot flat down, have you checked the level and colour of your trannie fluid...
