Caroline, I'm so sorry to hear that and I hope he's okay.

Just think, he's got all that time to lie there and plan out mods for the MR-2...

Joking aside, thanks for letting us know and please pass on our best wishes.

Take care and keep safe,

Alan

well....if you'd stop !Removed! hitting him, then he wouldn't swell so much!!!

In all seriousness, he probably just ate a nut or bolt or something and Its trying to get out, I hope he's ok and that the bolt is reusable.

A wee bit of grease should help with this.

I hope you're both well.

Hello everyone.. I'm home :)

Thanks for all the messages.. it means a lot.

I went to my bed on Sunday night.. whilst washing I felt a small lump.. so I did what most guys would do and completely ignored it.. It would be away in the morning.

WRONG!!!!.. In the morning I was in quite a bit of discomfort, luckily it was my day off work so I just got about my usual day to day stuff. As the day progressed, so did the discomfort and the size of the lump.. but, I hoped that it would still go away, there was no way I was going to a Doctor, the embarrassment would kill me... so I carried on as if there was nothing wrong.

It was just after Caroline left for work that I decided I really had to see a doctor, I was very worried incase it was a tumor.. so I went down for an emergency appointment. My GP had a look, and was also concerned by what he saw.. or rather, what he couldn't see, neither of us could find my left !Removed!. So he immediately sent me to Stirling Infirmary to get the specialist to check me out.

It turned out to be a twisted !Removed! that developed some thick tissue around it which had also slightly absessed.. well.. I was so relieved I was almost in tears. I was kept in, given some anti-biotics via a drip and had an Op to remove it the following evening. Test are being carried out on the tissue that was removed to make sure that it is nothing to worry about. I am currently back home where a distric nurse will be popping in to see me on a daily basis to change my dressing and make sure I am ok.

I have also to keep an eye on my !Removed!, because if the blood and oxygen supply has been cut off it could shrivel up.. this would obviously result in it being removed.. something I wouldn't loose any sleep over as I already have a family and don't plan adding to it.

To ALL the guys out there.. please don't do what I did and ignore it, check yourselves regularly and IF you find a lump.. visit your doctor as soon as possible. Things aren't as bad as you might think, there is absolutely nothing to feel embarrassed about, and it could save you from thinking the worst when you don't need to.
