Tbar Glass...

A while back I got a replacement Tbar glass panel cos my current one was a little scabby.

Only today I noticed that they are actually different colours.

One has a slight blueish tint to it.

Is this normal ? Was there different coloured/tinted glass out there ?

Stock ones were either clear or mirrored ..

I think the UK ones have a blue tint to match the windows.

Have you got two spare T-bars then Jimlad? Are they good enough to tint black?

Being new to the world of mr2 this could be complete rollocs but i during my research i seem to remember they changed the tint from green to blue or vise versa at some point in the mr2 production, maybe you have one from before and one from after the change?

I thought Jap spec glass has a brown tint and UK spec glass has a green/blue tint, this is why alot of people have new windscreens imported from the motherland , so it will all match. have you possibly got one of each jim?

Matt.

I have one browny/clear and one blueish one on my car.

I have another browny/clear one in my cupboard.. glass is 100% condition, simply the plastic trim was quite worn. I might see about getting the glass from the one in my cupboard put onto my other one which is on the car ( with decent trim etc ). Do you think this is possible?

I believe the UK MR2 model have green or blue glass T-BARs and most Jap Imports have a copper tint.

Dandism, i feel its the japanese version of "THE FORCE" which you can only get from driving such things as the MR2.

Probably bol~cks though, we should put dandism in to a translator from english to jap and bach to english and see what it comes up with.

Matt.

Maybe it's a bad japanese translation.

On one of my old import motorbikes in the manual it called indicators 'orange twinkle lights'

Hehe....

orange twinkle lights....... LOL !

Dandism (sic)

Should be Dandyism I think, which is (according to Gurunet thingummy):

A man who affects extreme elegance in clothes and manners; a fop.

Something very good or agreeable.

Suggestive of or attired like a dandy; foppish.

Fine; good.

Made me chuckle when I first saw it. I'd like to see an MR2 with the Dandism thing but also with a Bomex kit and graphics on. The Bomex graphics read:

Pray to god of Bomex. I hope your speed over the rival.

Prey to the god of Bomex to be explosive as bomb.

My car cover with complete aero parts.

I wish to have ultimate body kit.

That's a lot of wishing!
