You should mod your ECU.

But, there's a reason they put the rev-limiter lower than 8k - my "guess" would be to make sure you don't burn your valves ;)

Also, remember, when you rev it so much higher than standard, you risk your valves will start floating.

Meaning, your springs isn't tight enough and therefore won't be fast enough to close the valves.

You'd just risk loosing *****loads of power reving that high - plus you risk engine-damage.

But with other camshafts, valvesprings and such - you could make it go that high without risking much...

Only look at increasing the rev limiter if you have uprated the springs.

I guarantee you it will chew up and spit out the valves if you do it without

And there is no point in revving more unless your engine is still making good power that high. It won't be if it's on standard camshafts
