Hi guys,

About a month ago Motorworld was offering alloys with decent tyres complete and balanced for £250 quid, unfortunatelly they are now not available (apparently)

Now its nearly chrimbo and I 'could' be (If I have twisted the girlfriends arm enough) in the market for a complete set for the motor, my limit is £250 complete with tyres, CAN IT BE DONE??? :hokus-pokus:

(they would be either 14 or 15 for the corolla)

PS. Iam now getting the hint

:crybaby:

:lol::lol::lol:

Why don't you call the alloy wheel and tyre package specialists in gold. They do a few different packages just under £300 and will knock a bit off for you as your a goldie. Guess it will be the closest you will get to 15's for about £250.

Cheers for the link, but I think there someone already tryingto buy them.

Im thinking a decent set of 14inch might be the safest bet, thing is I was toying with idea of droping the motor by about 40mm'ish sometime next year and thought it would look best with 15 inch wheels, dont know really what you think (anyone):wacko:

try eBay dave, u never know what that awesome resource will present you with!

I would wait until u had more than 250quid dave... u could spend 250 quid on tyres lol.

don't settle for anythin less than alloys you like

and please don't skimp on the tyres, you WILL regret it , nowt worse than poor quality tyres... affects every part of your handling.

I need an honest answer. Are 14inch alloys going to look/too small/daft on the corolla, its currently got 14 wheels, if I go for 14's I can use the current tyres I have on still with bags a tread. and i have found some excellent deals (and very nice wheels) on www.tyresave.co.uk.

Worry is that 14's are too small, (although I think it maybe ok-but you guys have more experience at stuff like this than me!))especially if I do go with the idea of lowering it next year (although this would only be by a few mm)

Confused

get 15's minimum... 16's would look better but tyres cost a lot more, 17's well not sure, personal choice really.

14's will still look diddy as the tyres have huge sidewalls.

(if you have 14inch wheels please don't take offence, I'm sure they look lovely)

And dont forget, if your going from 14" to 15" or 16" your going to have to maitain rolling radius by getting a lower profile tyre, but the company supplying the wheels should be able to help..

i think the offset on a corolla is ET38

just to add my 2p's worth - 14s are too small (IMO). if you're going to upgrade, go for 15s or 16s. ive got (horrible!) 14s on mine at the moment, and im gonna be putting a set of 17s on soon (if they'll fit - btw if anyone knows, feel free to let me know :D )
