Yaris Vs Auris

Hello and thanks to you all, this forum helps a lot. My problem Is this:

I have to choose one of the following

I) Toyota Yaris Sport 1.3L VVT-i 2SZ-FE 87hp 5 M/T 5 doors with all the extras (such as A/C,9 airbags,metal colour,steel wheels,mp3,...) and the price is 16010 euros

II) Toyota Auris Casual 1.4L VVT-i 97hp 5 M/T 5 doors with little extras and the price is 16600 euros

I am in college and i don't know what to do.My father thinks that Auris is more safe car and i can use it easier for a trip because of the space tha provides and for the 1.4L engine which will make the driving an easier thing to do.

I believe that the new Yaris is a very nice car and because i've driven both i felt that with Yaris i had much more control in the road i didn't felt it heavy and i think is a better choise for me right now but for the future maybe i'll have to sell it and take a more "Auris" kind of model.

It depends how long you intend to keep it for.

The Yaris will be just as safe as the Auris ( they are both 5 star for safety ), but cheaper to run !!!! There is very little different performance between the two, but I would think the Yaris would hold its price better.
