"auto" Light Flashing On The Drivers Window Switch

Hi, I've got a 56 plate Yaris (new model), 1.3 and on monday morning it was frozen. I attempted to open the drivers window while it was still frozen and it made a cracking sound, since then the "Auto" light on the drivers window switch has been flashing constantly and the window no longer does the auto thing. Does anyone know how to fix or is this a garage job? Thanks

If your car is still under warranty, might as well pop into Toyota and let them check it out for you.

Or if you feel like trying to see what happened, I would first check all the fuses in the car and make sure none have blown. Then take off the driver door card and see if it is a loose connection or a mechanical problem which caused the "crack".

Take it in but don't tell 'em it was frozen as they will say it is not their responsability, even though I would doubt that many quality cars would suffer this problem, until old and wearing out.
