I have a Toyoya carina 2 1.6 Gl Auto. Just wandered what mpg you were getting in the city. As I am only getting aroud 20! Thought this was a bit low.

I have a '90 1.6 GL auto, and i get 27 - 28 mpg around town with enthuiastic driving, riding to 35 - 40 on a run.

Spend yourself 60 - 70 and get into a carb centre for the carb to se serviced. The auto chokes are a sod for sticking.

i have a 1.8 cd auto and averages 37 to gallon, not had long but really suprised with this, getting more mpg than my old astra

But you have a Carina E with EFI mate, not a carburettor. Big difference.
