Get a decent quality wash & wax.

start with the roof, quick once over make sure it's suddy.

work your way around the car up to the windows.

work around the mid part, including bonnet and middle rear...

go around again lower, to the bottom.

again, doing the filthy bits right at the bottom.

do the wheels.

rinse and voilla.

chamois, prepare, polish, wax.

done.

5 hours later you have a full valet.

In winter I nip to the local Texaco, not for the fuel (Shell fuel=points, points make prizes!)

But beacuse for £1.90, you can have 1st - high presure rinse off. 2nd some high presure hot shampoo, and 3rd a good high pressure rinse off.

Whatever you do stay away from them drive through automatic things, they are evil!!!!

Im With you thats what I do

Yeah... he does a really good job. He's been there for 3hours 10mins so far and he's still working away.

I'll get some updated pics once it's all nice and shiny. Pity it's all dull and dreary outside tho.

I always do mine myself far to often as I'm an obsessive!

Washed & polished it yesterday in the freezing cold, trouble is now its all blingin' & tucked up in the garage & I need to go out but I don't want to get it dirty.....where's that bus timetable...:lol:

Once a week without fail, even if its wet it gets a shampoo!

Use a hot wax mix and loads of water. Start on the roof and work down. Rinse with clean water then leather it off. And in the summer I then wax and polish it, shine up the windows and black out the rubbers. Which can take me a day!

My neighbours think im odd....im always fathing about cleaning the car

I always start from the top and then work my way down.

And then I wash the car. :P

I did mine yesterday as it wasn't too cold and now it looks great (for a day).

Hi everyone

Heres how i wash my car

First i place 2 carrier bags over door mirrors so that water doesn't get into mirrors. I spray the car down removing all the dirt and dust. Then i use auto glym shampoo wash in hot water only. With a karchar brush and i wash the car down using this. Once the car is wash twice i then spray car down.

Next i dry with a real leather not those micro fibre ones's :P

Dry car down and remove the plastic bags. Hey no water inside mirrors  Clean the outside of mirrors using a wet rag.

Next get second leather to dry alloy wheels with. Note very important to have 2 leathers one for body work the other for wheels

Next to polish but hey that another story guy's

Jerry's guide to keeping the car bling

I always used to swear by genuine wash leathers, but I find they dont last that long for the £10-£15 outlay! So I rinse, turtle wax shampoo, cheapo synthetic rub down, rinse again, blast down the road to blow the watter (Yorkshire for water) out, another rub down with pretend leathers, then polish.

Well, I've just hoovered car, cleaned dash etc, checked oil, water and tyre pressures, washed and rinsed and all in under an hour

However, I am now knackered
