Rising Sun Car Show 2008

Hi guys & girls

Rising Sun Car Show is back for 2008. The North's biggest 100% Japanese Car Show. From the success of last year we have already had much much more interest already in the show. Hopefully we will have bigger and better sponsors this year helping us make the show one of the most enjoyable on the car show calendar.

A few details:

The Rising Sun Car Show 2008 @ Nostell Priory

Date :10 - 11th May 2008

Gates Open Saturday 9.30am - 6pm (For general public)

Show Cars and Traders to be in the event and setup by Saturday no later than 9.30am. Traders are welcome from friday at 10am. Camping from 4pm friday for car clubs / show cars

Activities

Awards will be for awarded for both days, but will be presented Sunday afternoon. The Awards will be for :-

Show & Shine

Best In Car Entertainment (ICE)

Best Modified Styling

Best Modified Performance

Best In Class

Best Club Stand and Area

Best Neon Display

Car of the Show

Wide range of traders and stuff for the kids

Camping areas available (Watch this space)

Lots of club area available.

I'm still quite interested, though Rash's comment has made me think twice.

I have a lot on at the moment, so not going to waste a day going to something if it's not going to be a good day out. Weather may be the deciding factor.

Is anyone else going? Has anyone else been to it in previous years?

Is there something in particular on at Clumber then? Or are you just having a day there.

There was a classic car show on last weekend near Clumber that I'd have really enjoyed, and despite having looked around for car shows that weekend, I saw nothing about this particular one, until I heard about it on the local radio when it was almost over.

Cool; just wondered as they host car events from time to time.

Great setting for it, though I imagine it hacks off the walkers and frisbee throwers etc.

last year was terrible for most shows with all the rain we had that cant be helped. but the weather looks on our side this year.

i go every year since it started 1st year when it was a day event and then now this year as one of the organisers. i think this year will be better due to the weather and a few more traders. plus we have the total mags coming this year and other mags will be covering the show.

Oh my gosh! So late to read this message. So how's the show? Geez! I've miss the event. Hope to view it in . I'm sure there are lot's of car enthusiasts attend that show.
