Front Tyre Options

I`m due to change the front tyres on my Prius soon.

I have noticed that when accelerating out into traffic from a standstill in the wet that the traction control will often kick in and cut engine power, which is rather disconcerting at times. :help:

This also happened when the tyres were new.

I would appreciate so suggestions for some good wet weather tyres with increased grip that won't also ruin the MPG.

Thanks ED :D

Ok........

Lets put it another way.

What front tyres DO you have on your Prius and how do you rate them?

Thanks,

ED. :D

I have only had the Prius a few weeks, BRIDGESTONES are fitted. Prius has only done 2,600 miles. The tyres seem OK but I have always favoured Michelins; that would be my choice. Michelins are hard wearing, reliable in most weather and last longer.

I think it is a shame nobody else has replied to you on this subject.

My previous Avensis T4 had dunlops they were noisy and the front ones were almost due a change after only 17000 miles.

My wife had Michelin tyres on her Carina they had done over 25,000 miles and were still well within limits. I had Michelin on all other cars I have owned.

Hey thanks Chris !

I was begining to think I was asking some sort of esoteric question !

I will have a look at the Michelins and check out prices and reviews.

Thanks again ED :D
