Nice car. Very rare to see an almost stock Rev 1/2, I like it.

But you and your mate can't park for $$$$. ;)

lmao... @ cant park for toffee.. :P

Also your g/f looks bored in the car!

Good purchase... enjoy the mid engine RWD combo but also play safe if you aint used to RWD cars as the Rev1's are a bit of a handful sometimes.

Welcome to the club Laura!

You've made a much better choice with this car than that French thing you had!

Well done to the minibus!!

Fizz - that GF is me lol! unless your talking about the lass pretending to be asleep. thats my !Removed! lol

I liked my ikkle GTi :( poor lil bugger. Breaks my heart seeing it in my garden in bits... Till i see the 2 haha!

My plans are just to clean her up a bit, and get some clear indicators as orange and white looks pants in my opinion :(

Me park? im good at parking (when i try) :P

And the RWD - yeah ive always been sensible with my cars as i know how dangerous they are in the wrong hands, It twitched a little the other night, just cant wait til summer as ill know the car better then and wont be so worried bout putting my foot down a little

Good to hear lass... i remember getting my old MR2 thinking that dirfting looked easy and gave it a try one dry quiet night... it went like this..

Understeer

Understeer

Turbo kicked in...

Rear lets loose and swing out wildly..

crap my pants

more crapping as everything starts to go slow motion

Snap oversteer

more crapping

snaps back the other way..

starts to pray

Snaps the other way again...

accepted i am going to die..

then finally straightens up... :!Removed!:

I never tried that again in a hurry!

lol thats very familiar.... very very too familiar loool

mine got me with cars in the other lane of a dual carriageway to the one side of me and a dirty great crash barrier railing to the other side. I saw them well... as it was night and my headlights were illuminating the side of the head of the person driving a bit in front but next to me and illuminating the railings flashing by on the other lol Was the last time I dropped to second coming out of a roundabout rofl. Its only funny now because i miraculously didn't hit anything.... lol

still, NICE looking car there ax, and at least your not going to have turbo spool up mid corner eh

haha yeah there is that!

I miss the ax cos it was a gokart and pretty nippy for the puny 1.4 engine haha!

I would have gone for a turbo but i need to get used to RWD first (far to sensible!) lol

your wise lass... trust me... AX to MR2 Turbo would have been a huge learning curve... and potentially very costly..

 I HAD AN AX GTI IN WHITE!!!!!

an awsome car and !Removed! hard to find now in good nick as anything more humid than a wet !Removed! and it dissolves into rust quicker than.. ... .. . er an 1980's Alfa?

any how saw that car on pistonheads looks good, hope you have fun in it and dont let the tubby owners bash u for "only" having a gti-16 (not all lads just the elite'ist few who nark) it will still swing wildly on wet roundabouts.

ps i think your "!Removed!" as you put it has lapsed into a diabetic coma in your passenger seat .. . . . . . . . .probably while you were figureing out you parking! lol

laters dude :driving:

Wow! loved my Gti :( Waht happened to yours?

You know when you twist an empty coke can, and it just rips... my car did that! never realised how unsafe it was till the accident lol! Feel much safer in the 2.

I shall be gettina tubby one day, Just lost my no claims tho due to the minibus even though i was stood still when he took my front end away... figure that out? but due to the loss of my almost 4yrs NCB i cannot afford a tubby... One day! one day! lol Also want to get used to the RWD first lol

lol @ the commment bout Nic aka the !Removed! lol

No, I meant how have you come to the conclusion that the cars are awesome when they all rust really easily?

Hi

One of the best things, I find, about driving a 2 after driving a front-driver is the precision and feel from the steering. Even when you do make a balls of navigating a wet roundabout, you can correct the slide and look like you meant it to happen B)

Oh yeah and mine is an N/A.... you can get yourself into more than enough trouble with one :o

I dont need any 'viagra' (turbo) lmao

Your car does look in good condition for its age. Mine is what I would describe as a nice '5 yard car' :(

Enjoy your 2 axgizmo

Si

My "rubbing noise" that went away when the clutch was down...

Driving home on the motorway tonight and all of a sudden car sounds like a tractor... something is not right, i pull over onto hardshoulder ive got no gears...

I ring my friend "ray, i cant drive (insert sexist jokes about women drivers here) my car, ive no gears! and that rubbing noise got a hell of a lot louder!" So he tells me to turn the car off, try putting it in gear and jumping it... i did this and it works... So into second Start car, jump it and off i go along the Hardshoulder, I go to change gear... Seems ok (still the loud noise tho) I get onto the services (luckily near my house) and stop and wait for my mate to come n tow me  3 chuffing weeks ive had the car, and 1 of those i couldnt even drive it for!

I've got no cash to fix the car so I just dunno what im gonna do!

Going to cry myself to sleep now! Any tips on where to get parts/get it fixed would be good

 Laura
