Supra Noise

I have a 1987 Supra. When I drive it for a bit I hear a screeching sound. It sounds like a belt, but when I slow down and idle the sound stops. Again it doesn't start right away, but after driving a bit. Any help would be appreciated

It could well be a belt, have a look see what condition they're in e.t.c

Could also be the air con pump dying or the waterpump.

Noises are always hard to diagnose over the interweb :)

Does it only do it when the car is moving?

does it increase with revs, or vehicle speed?

Yes only when it's moving. Revving does nothing. When I come to a stop it decreases likes it's winding down.

whining diff ?

Check your diff dampers.. although this usually doesnt make too much difference. Theyre just in front of the back wheels.. basically a metal block attached to a bit of rubber that doesnt appear to do anything.. they sometimes fall off (although from experience they seem to do sod all anyway).
