Yaris Screenwash Jets

Are the windscreen washer jets adjustable on the Yaris (57 plate)? The passenger-side jet is a little low and to the right for my liking, meaning that there's usually a dry part of the windscreen and it causes the wiper to streak. I did poke a pin into the jet, but the jet didn't seem to budge.

the older one's worked by ajusting them with a pin, they may just be a little bit seized, so the newer ones should definatly move

The new Yaris has ceramic non adjustable jets same as the Auris.

You handbook tells you not to adjust them with a pin as it will damage them.

Toyota can supply replacement jets with different angles

Some of the Auris owners report that they got them changed under warranty.

PS, the different parts just change the angle upwards. I don't know what you do about it aiming left.

Does it matter where the jet hits the screen though; As long as it's above the wipers the wipers will spread the water over the screen won't they?

As I said, I'm just fussy. There's a small patch the requires a bit more spraying, but I'll live with that - I don't think angling it up or down will make any difference.

Mine does the same, 06 T-Spirit.

It is annoying, to clear the screen you use a lot of water, seems a common problem, (as are several things on the latest Yaris) , i had a 57 plate on loan, and that was the same.

The dealer should sort it under warranty, be intrested to know how you get on.

Techy.

There has been a recall in the US regarding the washer jets. They replace the board where the jets are connected thus moving the passenger side jet towards the outer side. That should remove the "dirty" spot left by insufficient washer fluid. Not sure about whether this is a recall issue in Europe, but it's worth asking Mr T.
