1)

- Remove the two dials on the centre console, there are 3, remove the first and the 3rd. These come off if u pull them towards you.

- You'll find two screws underneath them, unscrew them.

- Once the screws are off the centre console should be abole to be pulled off.

- Unplug the wires which connect to the console.

- Once the centre console is removed then you can see the two top screws which hold the radio in place. Remove these.

- There are two more screws holding the radio in place. These can be found by removing the ash tray. Once these are off the rado should be able to slide out.

as for (2) if you find it tell me cos i HATE the annoying beeping sound it makes when i put my car in reverse!! :censor: :ffs:

theres alot of posts dealing with yaris radio installations in the workshop section....if this aint good enough take a look through there :D

good luck

Ok thanks to all !

Yesterday evening after dinner I've started remove the radio from my yasis dashboard following

your instructions .

To be honest my yaris it's a '03 type , the last one , so the proceduring to remove the radio it's slight different; there is an extra screw just on the top of the centre console below the plastic collar around the display .

After that all operations are the same .

Yes it's possible to mute the radio by a relay ,

Grazie anche all'amico Italiano .

Bye Bye.

mute = to make something silent

cos = shorthand for the word because

incar kit = a device for the car eg the thing you plug you phone in when it is in the car
