Sr Or T 180

Having had a Golf TDI for the last 6 years I'm looking at other fast diesels to replace it. The Auris SR or T 180 seems to fit the bill. Anyone else had a Golf before and now rides an Auris ? How do they compare ? and are you pleased that you changed to a Toyota? Are the dealers any better? I like the idea that The Auris has chain drive cams and don't have to worry about rubber belts breaking. What are your thoughts. Bernie

My T180 has been back to the garage 4 times because of quality issues. Ended up needing new shocks. It is faster than my old Golf by a long way. Handling on the Toyota is a little soft but the build quality on the VW is much better. If you want speed and quality go down the 120d route.
