Rev Counter Blue!

Recommended Posts

I haven't done this myself. But Keying the surface would never be a bad idea...

The plastic primer and a couple of layers of color. Maybe a layer or two of clearcoat afterwards?

Keying as in roughing up the surface slightly to get more surface for the paint to stick to...

That's the terminology Edd from Wheeler Dealers allways uses on Discovery Channel :D

Well I just tried this and used a grey platic primer but the lagoon blue after spraying it has come out really dark.

I just try spraying some onto a white bit of paper and thecolour difference is huge.

So I presume Im going to have to rub it down and use a white primer and try again.

I used a grey plastic primer on mine, then 8m6 lagoon blue paint of which another garage has just confirmed the paint I had made up is correct.

Why has mine come out so dark. ( not yet lacquered)

WOW, that IS dark...

Allmost looks like the primer and paint reacted with each other...
