Hks Fcd Fuel Cut Defender ,

Ive got a G reg 185 Gt4 and ive just got an Aussie downpipe with full mongoose system

along with a set of plugs and FCD HKS fuel cut defender . The only problem is that the

instructions are in Japanese :wacko: there is 4 wires red = live black = earth then

there is also a yellow and white any idea,s :thumbsup:

on will be signal in, other is signal out. which is which i don't know.

red wire is positive

black is negative

yellow wire is signal to ecu

white wire is signal from ecu

it is there for a reason, to save the engine if too much boost is detected, however if the engine is being modified then the boost increaase in always the first thing to do, thats why the fueling maps are done to higher pressures than standard. personally now after tuning experiance i wouldn't even turn up the boost without a wide band lamda sensor to ensure the engines safe

yep fuel cut was put there as there is no real map after that boost level, it will simply go to a generic setting which will either 1, over fuel causing borewash and eventually a FUBAR engine OR 2 det its brains off which will cream the engine quicker.

my advice is dont fit it, save up and get a mappable ecu :thumbsup:

on mine the injectors went to a 100% duty safety setting which risked the afore mentioned bore wash, step in the E-Manage, nice and simple piggy back ECU that sorted out the fueling and timing for me

been lookin for that info but wat colour wires are we looking for from the ecu ????
