The Gear Box! Its Why They Are Slower!

as you know i'm mr2 all they way, had a p reg celica last 2 weeks, i'm now sure why later rev (post rev2) mr2's are slower, the gear box! its so much higer ratio, a said to dad (who i borrowed it off, he had a 91 celica before) it was slower, he agreed said before it was fast now ,..only if you change down then it goes, problem is its only quicker at i'd say (butt dyno) 80 to 110 mph, off the line its pants, what were toyota doing making a n/a car that can do 75 in second!!! it f in stupid.
