What Tyre Pressure Are You Running?

Trying to get the maximum tyer pressures to reduce edge ware on the fronts and reduce the wobble on cornering.

Upped the pressure to 42psi fronts and 35psi on rear at cold. (from under 35/30 at cold)

Cornering stability has been greatly improved (with non of the body wobble or squirming of tyres I used to have during hard cornering) but I am finding the traction control comes on during hard breaking in the dry. Have I gone too far?

I think 42psi is too much.

Mines are 36psi at cold, front and rear. I have no problem whatsoever...

Have got 225/40/18 low profile tyres on 18" alloys and put 35 in the front tyres and 32 in the back tyres and runs well on these tyre pressures.

My 2.0 D-4D is a bit heavier than your-alls and 32psi produced a double wobble and squeaks when turning hard at speed not to mention loads of edge wear on the front tyres. I was told if I draw a chalk line on the tyres to see where they get worn. Maybe I am running a bit too much because of the ABS kicks in sooner.

45 psi on all wheels.

Got a problem with tyre wear on the edges, due to a active driving style.....

With that much pressure, I got more even wear on the tires.

225/40-18

Exactly. I presume the handling is still the same? The problem is the harder ride but I presume you suffer even more with the lower profile 18". What tyre are you running and how hard is the ride? I think Dunlop Maxx are supposed to give a nicer ride than say the Eagle F1's
