Hi there, I want to buy a Toyota Yaris in the UK and import to Rep of Ireland. Can you still change the MPH to KPH on the new 2008 Toyota Yaris.

Thats great. Any idea of how to do it without going to a Toyota Dealer.

Thanks

To change from kmh to mph or vice versa you push the trip meter reset button for more than one second when the odometer is displayed and the headlights/tail lights OFF

I think that the odometer and trip computer will still read miles though.

I have just tried it. Though the speedometer changes to KM/H, the odometer stays in miles. This is on my 57-plate (from January 2008) diesel SR.

Finally picking up my new Yaris TR D4D next Monday in Northern Ireland. New price in Rep. of Ireland €18300.00(euro) with no alloys, no fog lights, no air conditioning. I bought one in Northern Ireland and imported it to the Rep. and with vat and sterling conversion and Irish Vehicle Registration Tax(VRT) total price €15000.00. New car has alloys, front fogs and air conditioning. Rip off Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a matter of holding the button on the dash and i will have a speedo reading kilometers. Thanks guys for all your help.
