after 3 years of owning my gen 5 celica ive decided its time for a change,my stepdad had had an mr2 sitting for a year doing nothing so its my new project.

its a g plate, black, tbar turbo,70k on the clock......168bhp on the rolling road

turbo timer

boost controller

new turbo(not sure what kind)

racing heart alloys with the chrome lip

induction kit

2 roof scoops

big spoiler, side vents and front bumper

chrome dials

anyway,enought of that.

its been sitting for a while and wont start, started yday but nothing now, turns over fine though. any ideas on what i should be doing to get the car ready to go back on the road?

The usual stuff, check fuel is getting there, check ur getting a spark,

i'm not sure on this one but check voltage going to ecu, it 'could' be the case of enough voltage to turn over but not enough to power ecu, i have heard of that before, all dependant on how long it's been stood and condition of Battery.....i know you said it started y/day but might be worth checking.

Hi Glen welcome to the club.

As above really, check the Battery or better still just throw in a new one if its been sitting for a year. Check dizzy cap, leads and spark plugs.

Is it clicking when you try and turn it over?

make sure theres fuel in it, even if the gauge reads there is, it could be stuck or something, its happened to me before.

Check all fuses aswell in the cabin, front boot and engine bay.

Once thats done, it should tick over, if not, report back.

where abouts in Glasgow are you based?

.

.

.Last but not least........Get some photos up!!!!!!!!

Michael.
