Previa Satnav Radio Has Failed

I have a Toyota Previa (new February 04) with an Aisin AW DVD colour SatNav system which includes CD player and AM FM radio and reversing camera.

The SatNav, reversing camera and CD player all work fine - however the radio has stopped working - there is not even a hiss and it cannot find any channels.

I have removed and reset the unit, checked all the cables and aerial are seated correctly - all to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem - any solutions (other than buyong a new unit)?

Many thanks

Sorry this isn't much help but I believe it is a common problem for these units to lose radio reception, no idea what the cause is but they just stop, won't find any stations at all!

There is a company who can fix this:

http://www.mapleaudio.co.uk/

but they want £211.50 to do it!

Let me know if you do find out what causes it or how to fix it, would be great to know!

We have had exactly the same problem, aug 04 Previa T Spirit bought from new. The radio failed about 2 months out of warranty last year, now the DVD nav has gone to. We contacted Toyota last year and were given the usual "its not our issue". I do also note that the TMC (traffic system) has not worked since we bought it new and nothing could be done about it. I am thinking of either buying a new unit or having it repaired, any suggestions?

James
