I've got a set of 19" Axis Milano wheels, very badly corroding etc.

So, I thought sod it... and with the help of a freind we got stuck in on the worst of the wheels.

After the above stages we realised the prep wasn't the best as there were alot of duff areas around the rim.

So ALOT of rubbing later....

Was going to go for silver lip and black centre, but I didn't like the look of the silver paint so......

One done... I've got another one now, and the hard work of rubbing begins

One side of the car complete now....

The non complete side...

I love your car!

The black wheels look really good.

What happened to the multispoke alloy wheels you had on it when you first bought it? They were really nice wheels also.

Nice job Jim

Flexy.... I'm sorry but this is Jim's thread so I think we should be talking about his wheels and car

Remember when you did it to the MR2 - It would have looked better with the silver/black contrast IMO.

 Looks good, sorry to intrude Jimlad but I too am in the process of an alloy wheel refurb. I like the silver & hubby prefers black. I've posted a pic (With my standard wheel trims coloured in )& due to your excellent taste would welcome your opinion to which looks best. The car insn't black but is dark metallic blue. p.s. Cue SteveL to have a go at me

That was not a very subtle edit was it

Last time I done it, we just left the wheels on the car. Cleaned them and sprayed them. lol

Saying that, they were in very god condition. Didn't do any prep with the mr2 wheels and they turned out great.
